In Shia communities and culture, wearing a ring is part of casual attire for both genders. Interestingly, Shia traditions go further, mentioning at length the stones that are recommended, the hand to put them on, the suitable occasion for each, the favored engravings, and the benefits driven, among other details you can find in books.
